He carries the torch, trails Indy past tarantula-infested halls, reacts with panic to Forrestal's impaled corpse and the skeleton-covered stairs, and reluctantly advances despite declaring they cannot proceed. Saved by Indy's whip over a cobweb pit, he watches Indy's idol swap in awe, catches the idol, pockets it, drops Indy's whip in betrayal, flees with a final 'Adios, amigo,' and dies impaled by spikes.
