Other Travellers pass through the Cheng-Ting way station on the Silk Road under Kublai Khan's Mongol empire. They represent the steady flow of merchants, pilgrims, and couriers who rely on Wang-Lo's outpost for rest, provisioning, and security. Obedient to the station master's directions, they move in groups, following orders without drawing attention amid caravan traffic and noble escorts. Their presence underscores the outpost's role as a neutral hub where diverse Silk Road wanderers converge briefly before pressing on to destinations like Shang-Tu.
