Though functionally indestructible under normal circumstances, they demonstrate vulnerability when their energy reserves deplete, requiring periods of dormancy to 'recharge' rather than retreating from fear. Their existence remains inextricably bound to systems of ritual sacrifice, forcing living victims to inadvertently sustain their predatory cycle.
