Zombo

Zombo is the individual Zarbi who allies with the Doctor and Vicki on Vortis, breaking free from the Animus's telepathic control over his kind. Vicki names him affectionately to distinguish him from the hostile insectoid horde. With crystalline features typical of Zarbi, he offers practical support in hostile terrain and fights against other Zarbi under his new companions' influence. The Doctor values his utility but urges caution. Zombo embodies loyalty to humans over hive obedience in the struggle against planetary domination.
