Young Woman

observant deferential collectivist unobtrusive loyal anxious compliant calculating defensive cautious community-minded nervous
The Young Woman has been seen in three distinct eras, always occupying a position on the periphery of authority, where observation and caution define her role rather than leadership. Beneath the fortress-bridge of Zanak, she remained a subordinate officer, noted for her silent vigilance amid the Captain’s outbursts, her gaze fixed on duty while power operated above her. When the Nimon demanded tribute as an offering in its hunting grounds, she moved among other youths in quiet compliance, placing the designated globe upon the ledge without protest, part of a collective bound to survival under predation. Decades later, in the village of Killingworth, she reappeared as a local witness whose testimony centered not on defiance but on loyalty, pleading on behalf of a missing partner unjustly accused of Luddite agitation. Throughout, she remained defined by survival instincts, placatory manners, and a reluctance to stand before the gaze of power, whether technological, supernatural, or social.
