Doctor and Sondergaard evade rocket fire

Under the toxic veil of Solos’ contaminated sky the Doctor and Sondergaard emerge from a mineshaft tunnel just as Jaeger’s bombardment erupts in salvos of rocket fire. They hurl themselves into the scrub, the earth trembling beneath each impact, smoke and acid rain stinging their eyes. With Jaeger’s rockets still cratering the landscape the Doctor realizes the immediate danger—Overlord contamination is accelerating—and drives them toward Miss Grant and the others before the next barrage lands. The planet’s agony is made visible in scorched earth and choking haze. key_dialogue: [ SONDERGAARD: What is it? What's happening? DOCTOR: It's rockets! 2
Planet Solos (including Solos Scrubland)

The acid-scarred scrubland offers meager shelter against Jaeger’s rockets, whose shockwaves and chemical fallout sear exposed skin and lungs. Crawling behind a low earth ridge, the Doctor and Sondergaard evade the worst of the barrage until the Doctor judges a temporary lull and presses onward toward Jo Grant’s group.

Atmosphere Choking with smoke and corrosive rain, the land smells of burning ore and singed vegetation
Function Transient refuge and escape corridor that fails to fully protect but buys critical moments

Atmosphere Perilous echoing darkness punctuated by distant thunderous impacts and acrid dust
Function Point of concealment rapidly becoming a death trap as rocket barrages close on the opening
Symbolism Represents futile refuge beneath an oppressive regime—the tunnels cannot shield against atmospheric annihilation
