Zed

Zed is a mercenary recruited under false pretenses by Kane's human stockpile program, immediately identified by his vocal dissent over compensation. His outburst at the pittance of seventeen crowns exposes the hollow promises of mercenary service to Kane’s regime. When he learns he will be cryogenically enslaved until needed, his brief defiance collapses into desperate flight under the threat of liquid nitrogen and gunfire. His resistance crumbles not from lack of courage but from the sudden realization of how completely expendable he is.
