Though never physically present, his worship mandates blind faith in divine benevolence and the eventual appearance of a cosmic machine to reward the faithful. The deity's power derives from institutional authority rather than demonstrated miracles, as Amyand and Roskal realize during their confrontation with volcanic emptiness. Logar's absence becomes more eloquent than scripture—a void that exposes the fragility of fear-based devotion.
