Ergon is a failed psychosynthesis from Omega’s experiments—a monstrous fusion of organic matter and mechanical enhancement, sent as an assassin to silence opposing forces aboard the TARDIS. Clad in a bulbous environmental suit, it materializes without warning in confined spaces, attacking with brute efficiency. Its movements are jerky and violent, driven by the residual programming of Omega’s deranged ambitions rather than any coherent intelligence. When engaged, the Ergon resorts to strangulation, a desperate tactic that mirrors the suffocation of Omega’s own trapped existence. Merciless and single-minded, it embodies the collateral casualties of Omega’s reckless struggle for survival, destroyed moments after its creation when exposed to Nyssa’s weapon.
