The Death of Time
The Doctor and his companions land on a desert planet where they must evade the relentless Daleks, help the native Aridians, and find their lost TARDIS before it's destroyed, all while avoiding the deadly Mire Beasts.
The Doctor, Barbara, and Vicki materialize on a desolate planet, only to discover that the Daleks are in pursuit, intent on destroying them and their time machine, the TARDIS. As they seek shelter, the companions encounter the Aridians, a once-aquatic race struggling to survive as their world dries out, now terrorized by Mire Beasts. Separated from Ian, Barbara and the Doctor seek to locate the TARDIS and reunite with their lost comrade.
Ian and Vicki, also trying to evade the Daleks, stumble upon tunnels within the Aridian city, only to be separated when Vicki gets captured by a Mire Beast. Ian rescues her, and, after narrowly escaping the detonated airlock, she seeks help. Before setting off, Ian is knocked unconscious during the ordeal leaving Vicki on her own. She eventually comes across the Doctor, and learns that the TARDIS lies beyond. The group then discovers the Daleks are using seismic detectors to search for them; meanwhile, the Daleks capture and plan to enslave Aridians to excavate the TARDIS which was buried in a storm.
Vicki finds an exit and the TARDIS, but the Daleks guard it. She returns to the Doctor and Barbara with news of the TARDIS' location. The Aridians, facing annihilation if they harbor the travelers, are forced to imprison the Doctor and his friends, intending to hand them over to the Daleks. As the deadline approaches, the Mire Beasts breach the city chambers, creating chaos. Vicki leads Barbara and the Doctor toward the location of the TARDIS. Ian, after recovering, devises a plan to distract the Daleks guarding the TARDIS. Using the Doctor's coat and Barbara's cardigan as bait, they create a diversion and hope to lure the Dalek from its post, allowing them to enter the TARDIS and escape the planet before the Daleks destroy both them and the Aridians.
