Warriors of the Deep Part 1
The Doctor and his companions stumble upon a top-secret underwater military base, where a rogue psycho-surgical unit and an ancient Silurian plot threaten global catastrophe.
The Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough materialize in orbit around Earth, only to be detected by a Sentinel robot, which engages them. They narrowly escape destruction and materialize inside an underwater military base called Sea Base Four. There, they encounter Commander Vorshak and his crew, who are preparing for a potential attack. Meanwhile, a Silurian cruiser, led by Ichtar, secretly monitors the base, planning to awaken their Sea Devil warriors. The Doctor soon discovers that the base is equipped with proton missiles and hexachromite gas, which could devastate marine life. As tensions rise, the Doctor and his companions must prevent a catastrophe, while also dealing with the psychological manipulation of a young officer, Maddox, and the sinister plans of the psycho-surgical unit led by Nilson and Solow.

The narrative beats that drive the story
The narrative opens by establishing two primary threats: the human military base, Sea Base Four, on high alert for an unknown enemy, and the ancient Silurians, led by Ichtar, preparing to awaken their dormant Sea Devil warriors to reclaim Earth. Simultaneously, the Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough attempt to reach Earth's future but are intercepted by Sentinel Six, a hostile robot weapons system, forcing them to crash-land inside Sea Base Four. Within the base, a young officer, Maddox, struggles with his crucial role as sync operator for proton missiles, a vulnerability exploited by the sinister psycho-surgical unit led by Nilson and Solow, who manipulate him for their own agenda. After a tense simulated missile launch that incapacitates Maddox, Nilson and Solow gain control over his mind, making him a puppet. The Doctor and companions, now trapped and discovered, learn about the base's devastating hexachromite gas and proton missiles. As the Silurians begin reviving their forces, the Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough find themselves cornered in the reactor chamber, planning a diversion against an increasingly hostile environment.
