In the screenplay 'Survival,' Ace, a companion of the Doctor, undergoes a transformation into a Cheetah-like creature after visiting a planet inhabited by a Cheetah-based civilization. This transformation grants her enhanced abilities and instincts, but also poses a risk to her humanity. Meanwhile, the Master, a renegade Time Lord, seeks to exploit Ace's new powers for his own survival and revenge against the Doctor. As Ace struggles with her identity and the moral implications of her actions, the Doctor and she must work together to stop the Master and his plans for destruction. Act 3

The third act plunges directly into the consequences of Ace's transformation and the Master's malevolent plans. Ace, increasingly succumbing to her Cheetah instincts, runs off with Karra, embracing the thrill of the hunt while the Master, now fully transformed, revels in his new power and vows to destroy the Doctor. The Doctor, with Shreela and Paterson, grapples with Ace's changing nature and the immediate danger. Ace's reflection in a pond reveals her yellow eyes, prompting a brief moment of self-awareness and a desire to return to the Doctor, but Karra's predatory influence remains strong as she attempts to lure Ace into eating a kill. The Doctor intervenes, pulling Ace away from the corpse, and they return to their companions at the lakeside. Faced with a profound choice—use her newfound powers to escape the planet and risk permanent change, or remain human and face unknown dangers—Ace chooses to help, leading to their miraculous return to Perivale via a shared 'Flash!' However, the threat is far from over. The Master, also back in Perivale, manipulates Midge, turning him into a brutal 'hunting dog' to cause chaos and track the Doctor. Midge's escalating violence leads to the death of Paterson, highlighting the Master's malice and the pervasive danger of the Cheetah influence. Ace's own animal instincts prove crucial in tracking the Master to the youth club and then to Horsenden Hill, where the final confrontation unfolds. The Doctor desperately prevents Ace from fully transforming by pulling her off a motorbike, then engages the Master in a perilous motorized joust. The bikes crash, resulting in Midge's death and a dramatic appearance by Karra, who sacrifices herself confronting the Master. Her death, and subsequent transformation back to human, underscores the tragic cost of the conflict and the blurred lines between species. The Doctor and Master's final struggle transcends the physical, transporting them to a 'Cheetah Camp'—a mental or alternate dimension space—where the Doctor nearly succumbs to the primal urge to kill the Master. He pulls back, realizing that fighting like animals would lead to mutual destruction. They return to Perivale, the immediate threat contained. The Master's fate is left ambiguous, but his power is diminished. Ace accepts the lasting impact of the Cheetah planet on her, recognizing it as part of her new identity. With the immediate crisis resolved, the Doctor and Ace depart in the TARDIS, having navigated a profound challenge to their humanity and partnership, ready for future adventures.
