Rebel-Thrown Shaft-Blocking Rock (Later Dalek Scout Bludgeon)

A fist-sized chunk of volcanic basalt, torn from the Plain’s jagged terrain by Latep’s grip, its surface still dusted with red grit from its fresh fracture. The rock’s irregular edges bear scars from two impacts: first when Latep wrenched it free during the scout’s pursuit, then when it caved in the Dalek’s weapon housing with a sickening crack. Codal wraps it in a native fur cloak to obscure its outline mid-strike, while Jo ducks behind Latep’s arm as the missile arcs toward its target. Dust and pebble shards scatter on contact, leaving a jagged dent in corroded casings.

Purpose

Improvised kinetic weapon used by Thal rebels to disable Dalek mobility during direct confrontation.

Significance

Marks the rebels’ first overt act of sabotage against Dalek forces during the cooling-chamber pursuit sequence, escalating hostilities from covert evasion to overt physical resistance. Its fracture during the strike symbolizes the team’s brutal adaptation to the Dalek threat.
