The Inner Sanctum Altar Sphere is the second half of the ritualistic pair used by Padmasambhava to summon the Yeti. Placed opposite the metal pyramid, it amplifies the Intelligence’s command, creating a feedback loop of control. The sphere’s activation is silent but devastating, as it links the physical world (the monastery) to the Intelligence’s disembodied will. Victoria is directed by the Doctor to knock it over, but her paralysis prevents her from acting. The sphere’s continued operation is a direct result of the Intelligence’s dominance, and its presence on the altar underscores the monastery’s fall from spiritual sanctuary to battleground. The Doctor’s failed attempt to use Victoria to disrupt it highlights the Intelligence’s growing power.

Before: Positioned on the altar, inert but ready for activation. It is a large, imposing object, symbolizing the monastery’s connection to the divine—or, in this case, the Intelligence’s connection to its mechanical forces.
