The lethal self-destruct button labeled number nine is centrally mounted on Stevens’ console and physically embodies Global Chemicals’ ultimate enforcement tool. Stevens presses it deliberately under The Boss’s order, triggering the mechanism that terminates Fell, while the console’s warning glows with the corporation’s signature green hue.

Stevens uses the lethal command buttons across the console as triggering mechanisms for the overload, pressing them in rapid, desperate succession. Each press emits a synthetic chirp, locking in commands that escalate from sabotage to total system destruction.

Stevens slams his palm onto the lethal command buttons in the alcove, initiating the cross-feeding of the generator circuitry. This final sequence of presses activates the sabotage that will destroy the facility. The buttons’ mechanical chirps and stiff resistance underscore the finality of his action.

Computer equipment scattered across the workshop erupts in cascading explosions as the self-destruct timer synchronizes with Linx’s emergency launch—glowing green indicators bleed into crimson before terminal failure, scattering embers and acrid smoke that obscure the exit route.
