Sacred Flame of the Sisterhood

The Sacred Flame burns within a small stone shrine, its high blue-white fire defying natural laws as it never consumes its fuel. The Sisters gather around it, drawing sustenance from its perpetual life-force to fuel their own power. Initially presented as an eternal, divine flame, the Doctor later reveals it to be an intricate illusion of blue-white fire sustained by combustive soot and powdered Rine Weed, disguised within the stone shrine. When Maren sacrifices herself, her blood drips into the goblet held over the flame, causing the fire to pulse intensely as it transmutes her essence into the Elixir of Life. The Sisters react with reverence and mourning as the act completes.
