Master's Coat
The Master's Coat is a wearable emblem of his deceptive authority, a garment adopted to assume false roles and manipulate institutions from within. First fashioned as a key part of his infiltration of Stangmoor Prison under the guise of Professor Keller, it marked the moment he infiltrated the prison’s chain of command, only to be shed once its purpose—to secure his grip on the mind-control machine—was fulfilled. Later, a pristine white laboratory coat distinguished him from the lifeless ceramic saucer conducting his transfer experiments. In its final appearance, the coat returned as a simple instrument of disguise, donned not to command facilities but to blend into human gatherings in times of peril. It is less an artefact than a secondary skin, altering in cut and hue but unchanging in function: to blur identities and nurture chaos.

Purpose
Institutional attire signaling scientific authority during formal demonstrations, though employed here as part of the Master's performance of control rather than genuine scientific rigor.
Significance
The coat embodies the Master's calculated authority at the Newton Institute, used to mask both his temporal manipulations and his disregard for operational safety. Its removal—never shown—would symbolize the stripping away of his manufactured role, though Ruth and Hyde's mounting discomfort suggests the facade is already fraying under scrutiny.
