Object
Rebellion Gag
A rough cloth strip bound tightly around the mouth of a prisoner to obstruct speech, knotted harshly at the back of the head. Its coarse weave chafes against the skin as the captive struggles, and its dampened fibers muffle desperate protests. One end bears the faint imprint of teeth where the captive bit down during violent resistance.
