Dalek Eyepiece

The Dalek Eyepiece is a small, protruding sensor locked into the top of a Dalek’s armored dome, marked by a central lens through which it perceives the world. It is the creature’s primary visual input, its unshielded and exposed position making it the most vulnerable part of an otherwise invulnerable casing. During the Control Room debates of the Dalek occupation, the eyepiece captured the rigid commands of Dalek leadership, their voices dictating tests and retribution for survivors. Chen once attacked it in desperation, striking it directly as a symbol of Dalek authority during their declaration of total war. Later, the Doctor exploited its exposed nature, commanding gunfire to shatter it and blind the Dalek, rendering its targeting systems useless. Even Ornini later exploited the same weakness, using precision fire to disable a Dalek by destroying the eyepiece, leaving it flailing confusedly.
