Doctor drugs sentry to free Jacobites

The trapdoor to the Jacobite prison is the ultimate prize in this event. Initially closed and secured by the soldiers, it is left unlocked due to the sentry’s distracted state after consuming the drugged broth. The Doctor’s return to the trapdoor and its unlocked status is the direct result of the sentry’s oversight, enabling the Doctor’s plan to free the prisoners. The trapdoor symbolizes the fragile barrier between oppression and liberation, and its unlocked state represents the first crack in the British forces’ control.

Before: Closed and secured by the soldiers, barring access to the imprisoned Jacobites below. Physically and symbolically a barrier to freedom.

After: Unlocked and accessible, thanks to the sentry’s negligence. The Doctor lifts it open, exposing the captives and setting the stage for their potential liberation.
