Purpose

To serve as a focal point and amplifier for temporal energy, enabling the controlled summoning of Kronos through synchronization of dimensional resonance fields.

Significance

The instrument through which the Master enacts his final bid for cosmic power, destroying the Doctor and destabilizing all of time in a single desperate act. Its activation irreversibly ruptures the Doctor’s protective role, leaving Jo Grant as the sole witness to the unraveling of their universe.
