The apparatus is a symbol of their preparedness for hazardous engagements, yet it fails to save them from the Warrior’s superior strength and weaponry. Its limited utility highlights the asymmetry of power between the humans and the Ice Warriors, as well as the desperate measures the technicians are forced to take in the face of the unknown threat.

Before: Worn by the Defence Technicians, providing protection against the foam’s chemical effects during the emergency response.
After: Still worn by the fleeing technicians, but ultimately useless against the Warrior’s attack, leaving one technician dead and the others in retreat.
