Jamie and Evans fail to stop the Yeti

The Yeti’s small pyramid control device is the focal point of the skirmish, a glowing, alien artifact clutched in the creature’s massive hand. Evans’ bullets strike it repeatedly, each impact sending sparks flying until the final shot triggers a catastrophic explosion. The detonation momentarily freezes the Yeti in place, its mechanical systems disrupted, but the web’s advance remains undeterred. The pyramid’s destruction is a pyrrhic victory—it halts the Yeti for mere seconds, only to underscore the futility of their resistance against the Great Intelligence’s larger, inexorable power.

Before: Intact and functional, pulsing with energy as the Yeti carries it from the web. Its glow casts an eerie light on the platform, drawing Jamie and Evans’ attention.

After: Shattered and smoldering, its components scattered across the platform. The explosion leaves a scorch mark on the tiles, but the web’s tendrils quickly overtake the area, rendering the pyramid’s destruction meaningless in the grand scheme.
