Metal Restraint Platforms

Two sturdy metal platforms clamp Leela’s wrists and ankles, securing her to the examination table as the Particle Analyser’s red disintegration beam advances. Constructed from rigid, cold metal, the platforms feature padded restraints and quick-release mechanisms that fail as the analyser overloads. Their metallic sheen contrasts with the sterile, blue-tinted room, amplifying the oppressive urgency of the moment. The Doctor frees both their restraints—his and Leela’s—when the beam reflects back into the machine, causing it to shatter.
