V6's Disconnected Hand

V6's right hand detaches at the wrist joint when Toos hurls the vase at its torso. The hand—a sleek mechanical appendage of brushed metal and plastic casing—drops to the floor of Toos' cramped sandminer cabin. Its outstretched deactivation disc continues to emit a soft blue pulse even after separation, as if unaware it has been cut loose from the machine that feeds it power. Toos regards it with exhausted dread while retreating, and V6 itself leverages this automated defense to detach its limb and retreat, leaving behind the first tangible wound in its attack on her.
