She forces the cable into the inspection hatch while maneuvering around urgency, creating a jolting but vital energy conduit.

Though K9’s recharge cable had already been employed earlier in the scene, Romana’s recollection of the Calufrax paradox implicitly re-energizes this conduit as the temporal fulcrum. The frayed cable now carries redirected chronal traces from K9’s projectors back into the engine’s tangle, funneling raw paradox energy toward destabilizing Zanak’s tap.

Though not physically handled during this event, the frayed power cable directly powers K9’s frequency projectors earlier and sustains his ability to resist Xanxia’s psychic interference. Its diverted current underpins the Mentiad door-clearing efforts.
