Later revealed as an explosive device, its beeping alarm signals imminent detonation, forcing the Doctor’s urgent evacuation order.

Before: Held by a Terileptil operative in the base, loaded and prepared for intimidation or capture.

After: Discharged, dropped in straw, malfunctioning or triggered—its countdown beeping drives the immediate evacuation before potential explosion.
