Alien celestial bodies, forcibly compressed to human-sized dimensions, orbit invisibly around Zanak’s hollow core. Their surfaces display the scarred remnants of original planetary features—cratered crusts and fractured continents—now distorted into miniature, jagged orbs. The Doctor repurposes these shrunken worlds as demolition charges, encasing each in a hyperspatial force shield generated from commandeered Captain’s circuits. Romana and K9 observe as the Doctor sequences their destabilization, their usual precision giving way to grim urgency as the plan shifts from clever escape to planetary-scale wreckage.
