Two small, hand-carved corpira tokens Turlough offers Norna for fortune-telling. Each piece is twisted and roughly shaped, their surfaces worn smooth from use. When Norna selects one, it seals Turlough’s fate to join the tunnel mission, his handshake with Norna binding him to defy Tractator domination beneath Frontios’ surface.

The two twisted corpira tokens serve as ritual objects in Turlough’s hand-clenched ritual, each representing a path forward. One is bent with wear, its central hole worn smooth from use. Norna selects the left-hand token, binding Turlough’s fate to the downward mission, while the hidden right-hand coin remains a momentary secret between them before being exposed in her hand.
