The Doctor's Alien Control Powerpack (and Control Bracelet System)

An alien device component lifted from the loft by Mace, appearing as a metallic sphere with glyphs. Described as an ornament, it is recognized by the Doctor as a fragment of alien machinery despite its decorative guise, prompting the search and linking it to the polygrite bracelet’s origins.

The ornament retrieved by Mace from the loft earlier serves as a precursor to the power packs’ discovery. The Doctor’s inspection of the loft, facilitated when Mace hands the ornament to him, leads directly to the inspection of the hayloft and ultimately Nyssa’s find.

The alien ornament suspended from Mace’s neck becomes the Doctor’s access point into the conspiracy, examined in hand before being surrendered to scrutiny. Its visual mystery catalyzes the climb to the hayloft and the search for corroborating proof.

The powerpack is inserted into the control bracelet by the Doctor to activate its alien functions, causing the device to glow green and produce an audible beep. When twisted by the Doctor, the powerpack discharges energy onto the floor, underscoring its authenticity and power in ways Mace cannot rationalize away.
