Magnetic Anomaly Tracking Radio

A standard issue transceiver system modified for precision signal analysis, combining military-grade calibration (as evidenced by its analog dials and unfamiliar switches) with scientific monitoring capabilities. Mounted on the van's cluttered dashboard, this device serves dual functions: (1) as a modified transceiver for tracking rhythmic magnetic pulses from ambient noise (as operated by Rachel Jensen and observed by the Doctor), and (2) as a scientific analyzer with waveform display capabilities tracking unnatural magnetic pulses (as mounted on Rachel Jensen's workstation). The system features fluctuating diagnostic displays (needle and meter for signal strength, amber/green readouts for jagged waveforms), a dangling headset, and operational control interfaces. Used by Professor Rachel Jensen, Group Captain Gilmore, and the Doctor during critical moments in Remembrance of the Daleks Part 1 to bridge military reconnaissance and scientific analysis of extraterrestrial threat signatures.
