Object
Hedgerow
A thick barrier of interlocking woody stems, thorny branches, and dense foliage planted along the edge of the rural road. The hedgerow’s tangled growth extends nearly ten feet high in places, interrupting the field’s open expanse with an abrupt shift from manicured verge to untamed vegetation. Its resistance meets the Humber’s forward motion as Turlough’s violent swerve drives the car directly into its mass. Twisted branches crack against metal, foliage tears loose in trailing showers of leaves, and the car’s forward momentum is halted abruptly as the hedgerow refuses to yield.
