Small, metal projectiles streak through the air at high velocity, their impacts kicking up plumes of sand as they chase the Doctor across the fractured alien terrain. The bullets crack loudly in rapid succession near his heels, with muzzle flashes briefly illuminating the volcanic rock walls in stark white. While no single round finds its mark, the sheer volume of fire forces desperate evasive action from both pursued and pursuers. The projectiles appear in two distinct tactical contexts: 1) as primary pursuit weaponry from Krelper's forces during the Doctor's escape across Sarn's surface, and 2) as opportunistic smuggler fire that inadvertently creates a distraction in Blue Level's tunnels, enabling the Doctor's escape.
