Mercer activates a hidden weapon control box mid-engagement, eliminating two Daleks with a surgical plasma burst that ruptures their casings. The device is revealed in a moment of desperation, sparing the station further damage at the cost of two crew lives and triggering the Daleks’ immediate tactical withdrawal.

Before: Concealed near Mercer’s workstation. Untouched and unknown to Styles until he seizes it during the firefight.

After: Activated, emptied, and now in Styles’ possession. Surface shows no damage but has been used once.
