Maldak halts execution saving Governor and Peri

The cylindrical Varos Execution Beam Projector, mounted on the Governor’s desk, pulses to life emitting a focused emerald-green lethal energy beam aimed at the Governor. Immediately, Maldak disables the device mid-activation by shooting it, extinguishing the beam and halting the execution. The projector’s failure shifts the balance of power in the room.

Before: Functioning and operational, emitting a lethal green beam towards the bound Governor.
After: Disabled, with visible damage to its mechanism, rendering it inoperative and extinguishing the execution beam.
