The Doctor seizes the second Terileptil powerpack from Mace’s pistol vent by twisting it free, immediately discharging its unstable energy through the weapon’s conduit before violently kicking the spent device across the cell floor. He then extracts Tegan’s equivalent from her bracelet, severing the psychic link that had compelled the pair. Its crimson glow fades as it leaves the circuit, leaving behind only residual violet sparks.
