The Dalek’s semi-automatic weapon serves as a lethal countermeasure during the assault. Calder employs it in response to the Doctor’s tactical instruction, firing rapid bursts that force the Doctor to call for a focused attack on the eyestalk. Its destructive capability is highlighted when it downs Tegan in the fracas.

Before: Operational and mounted on the Dalek’s casing, ready to fire.
