Peasant's Scythe

A long-handled agricultural blade with a curved iron tip, its wooden shaft worn smooth from repeated use in the fields. The peasant wields it to cut reeds by the pond when Mandragora Helix energy erupts from the TARDIS in a turquoise swirl, instantly engulfing the blade in the same corrosive fire that kills him moments later. The fire spreads across his body before he collapses, the scythe still burning in his grip as the Doctor reacts in horror.

The peasant’s scythe, long-handled and iron-tipped, is actively cutting reeds when Helix energy surges from the TARDIS. The blade is instantly engulfed in turquoise fire, which spreads violently across the scythe and the peasant’s body, hurling him backward into the reeds.

Before: Functioning agricultural tool in the peasant’s hands by the pond.

After: Engulfed in Helix flames, spreading turquoise residue before the peasant collapses lifeless.

Doctor sees Helix energy claim a life

The peasant’s scythe becomes the focal point of the Helix energy’s destructive demonstration. Slicing through the air as the energy descends, the iron blade bursts into turquoise flame mid-arc. The fiery weapon hurls the peasant backward, embedding the blade in the reeds as his last dying act. The fire marks the scythe’s transformation from agricultural tool to lethal symbol of alien intrusion.
