Coarse black chunks of anthracite heaped in the pit’s maintenance bin, their jagged edges catching the dim cavern light as Peri’s boot kicks them into the air. Jack and his friends wrench them free not as tools of industry but as improvised missiles, hurling the heavy lumps with raw aggression to punish trespassers. The coal’s gritty residue smudges the miners’ calloused palms mid-swing, leaving streaks across desperate faces as they turn the pit’s own resources against outsiders.

Lumps of coal, originally stacked in a maintenance bin, are torn free by Peri and thrown with raw desperation as improvised missiles to divert the attackers. Their coarse, jagged edges catch the dim light as they arc through the air before clattering harmlessly to the ground.

Before: Heaped in a bin near the pit, standard equipment for mine maintenance and heating.

After: Scattered across the pit head floor, several crushed or kicked aside as the confrontation peaks and dissolves under Ravensworth’s command.
