Object
Mel's Piece of String
A length of coarse, unbleached cotton string torn from Mel’s kit, its fibers stretched taut as the Doctor knots it around Popplewick’s wrists to disable the Valeyard’s disguise. The rough twine bites into the faux servant’s flesh, resisting even his violent thrashing before the last fibers fray and part under sustained pressure. Its mundane appearance belies the urgency it serves, functioning as improvised bindings during the confrontation. Previously referred to ambiguously as 'Piece of String'.
