Empty Barrel

A plain wooden barrel, its staves slightly warped from repeated use, sits empty in the Gore Crow Hotel's storage area. Three characters—Pel, Mordred, and Lavel—interact with it in rapid succession: Mordred uses it to hide a weapon, Lavel moves it aside only to be intercepted by Morgaine’s hypnosis, and the interaction reveals both the tinderbox of tension in the hotel and the ruthlessness of Morgaine’s control.
