The Mentalis Machine

A towering, impersonal automated system occupying the heart of the Zeos computer room, Mentalis operates without physical presence or human emotion. Its core consists of dense black panels bristling with unblinking lights and silent servos, chilled to the touch. The machine neither speaks nor acknowledges commands aloud, instead conveying its will through automated turrets that respond to intruders with brutal efficiency. Characters interact with it at a remove, unable to challenge its logic or halt its operations; Shapp’s weapon is annihilated in seconds, and the Doctor can only dismantle its illusions layer by layer.
