Sundvik Family Tombstone

A weathered stone marker bearing Norse runes and Latin inscriptions, withered by centuries of coastal exposure. The name 'Sundvik' appears prominently alongside carved symbols—a sun design and twisting knotwork typical of Viking burial sites. Its surface is pocked with lichen growth and salt erosion, the inscriptions nearly illegible under normal light but clearing as Wainwright wipes saltwater from the surface. The ground around it sinks slightly, suggesting subsidence from the crypt’s flooding. Ace’s flashlight beam catches its edge, illuminating the deeper inscriptions only as the haemovores’ presence intensifies the scene’s unnatural dread.
