Ore Hopper

The Ore Hopper serves as both refuge and crime scene. The Doctor emerges from it, revealing Kerril’s corpse within. The hopper’s industrial function and containment capability become instrumental to the Doctor’s discovery and SV7’s detection, turning a mechanical container into a locus of truth and danger.

The ore hopper reveals Kerril’s corpse while the Doctor clings to its rim, but the escalation of robotic restraint renders the discovery secondary. SV7’s operational reading of impurity triggers the intervention, making the hopper both witness and catalyst to the Doctor’s sudden shift from investigator to suspect.

The cavernous ore hopper becomes their improvised sanctuary; its inclined metal walls and dust-choked interior muffle the search-beam whirs of V5 and V6 while providing concealment. Its hollow belly transforms from mere industrial container to protective refuge, its grit-laden air clinging to their clothing as evidence of the skirmish outside.
