The Zero Room’s exterior door, originally a sealed energy threshold, tears violently from its frame during the TARDIS’s lateral lurch, its integrity compromised by the collapsing environment. The door swings uncontrollably inward on overstressed hinges, its trajectory initially aimed at the unconscious Doctor until the railing arrests its momentum at the last moment. Its destruction seals away the last sanctuary aboard the TARDIS.
