Soldiers abandon cursed flask in tunnel

The chamber's bricks form the concealment for the flask until the humming noise dislodges them. The soldiers gouge and pry at the niche to extract the artifact, then loosely reseal it with displaced bricks after discarding the flask. The hastily restored aperture fails to truly contain the evil stirring beneath, creating a vulnerable point in the temporal containment.

Before: Roughly mortared bricks forming a crude niche within the damp tunnel wall, masking the flask's presence.

After: Loosely reassembled into a concealment that barely resembles its original state, with visible gaps exposing the flask and the darkness beyond.
