Professor Chronotis' Concealing Bookcase

The bookcase stands tall and crowded against one wall of Professor Chronotis' private room, serving as camouflage for a hidden control panel that regulates long-dormant temporal machinery within the walls. Its shelves are laden with musty volumes, curios, and scattered papers, its awkward mass obscuring a seam in the wall where the disguised machinery waits. When Clare stumbles into the stack while crossing the room, her weight displaces the furniture enough to jostle the panel’s mechanism, exposing the hidden control panel and triggering the revival of the temporal machinery. This causes the room's reality to destabilize, warping space and unmasking lingering threats from Skagra's catastrophic invasion of the TARDIS.
