Large Ceramic Funerary Urn

A massive cylindrical vessel of mottled grey-green ceramic, its curved surface etched with worn spiral patterns from some long-ago Poten tradition. Wide as a tall human and half again as deep, the urn stands chest-high on the stone floor of the entrance hall. Its mouth, unsealed and gaping, offers just enough concealment for an adult to slip behind if they move quickly. The lip shows cracks where ancient repairs failed, revealing rough filler peeking through the glaze.
