Tainted Hospitality Meal

A spread of Earth-standard protein gruel and preserved rations served in dented metal trays. The spacemen invite the Doctor and Leela to eat, but their false hospitality curdles into violence as the food’s true role is revealed—its offering masks the alien infection already festering in the crew’s bodies. The contaminated meal foreshadows the massacre, its shared act of eating turning to betrayal when the infected crew’s eyes darken with scaly growths.
