Nyssa sees the Urbankan resurrection

The leather-rimmed circular shield is proffered to the risen hoplite before he re-enters the vessel’s ranks. Its bronze rim clinks against the couch frame as it changes hands, a metallic punctuation marking the transition from patient to warrior restored. The shield’s ceremonial insignias align with the vessel’s bio-engineered propaganda.
